The Studio shares the spotlight with Peter Kay
It’s not every day you get a call from Peter Kay’s choreographer asking you to share the stage with the award-winning comedian in aid of charity, is it?
Well, it’s exactly what happened to The Studio’s owner, Nicola Carless, which culminated in her and Zumba class ladies showing off their skills in front of a packed out audience at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on April 23.
Thirteen Zumba Gold members and Nicki took to the stage as part of Peter Kay’s Dance for Life, which took place across seven Saturday nights at seven different UK arenas.
The three-hour ‘dance-a-thon’ parties were aimed at raising cash for Cancer Research UK and involved Nicki and her members performing a five-minute choreographed routine on their own, as well as taking part in the grand finale performance. Click on the links below to view the action:
“We had a brilliant time, it was such a fantastic evening! The event was totally packed out and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing,” said Nicki.
“It’s going to take us a while to come down from taking part in such a fabulous experience in aid of such a worthwhile cause. We’re honoured to have been invited to take part in the event in the first place.”
Zumba Gold is held at The Studio every Monday and Thursday morning. For more information about the class or to find out more about the wide range of sessions held at The Studio, check out the timetable or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
